Cookies Policy

Last updated: September 7, 2026

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. This website uses two kinds: cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work, which are always on, and analytics cookies, which are only set if you accept them in the banner shown on your first visit. We do not use advertising or social media tracking cookies.

You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.

Strictly necessary cookies

Shop basket and checkout (WooCommerce)

These remember what is in your basket, keep your session going while you check out, and let the site show you your order confirmation. They are removed when your basket is empty or after a short period of inactivity.

Logging in (WordPress)

If you have an account in our shop and log in, a cookie keeps you logged in during your visit and remembers your preferences. It is only set if you log in.

Spam protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)

Our contact form and mailing list sign-up use Cloudflare Turnstile to check that you are a real person and not an automated script. It may set a short lived cookie to do this. Cloudflare’s privacy policy is at https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/.

Your cookie choice

A cookie remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we do not ask you again on every visit. It lasts for up to twelve months.

Analytics cookies (only with your consent)

Google Analytics

If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies beginning with _ga that give your browser a random identifier so we can tell how many different people visit, which pages they look at, and how they found us. They last for up to two years. The information is aggregated and cannot identify you personally. Google’s privacy policy is at https://policies.google.com/privacy, and you can also block Google Analytics in every website with Google’s browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Controlling cookies

You can delete cookies or set your browser to block them. If you block the strictly necessary cookies above, the shop basket and checkout will not work. The website https://www.aboutcookies.org.uk explains how to manage cookies in each browser.
