DragonLady Saga Chapter 4
Published on May 19, 2023
Falling a bit behind with the saga…. having intended to update monthly I have now missed two full months and heading towards the end of another!. But life has a way of scuppering plans so I’ll just sigh and get on with it.
Some of my items are now available through the lovely Polly Kettle Tea Rooms and Craft Shop in Burray (run by Mohamed and Linda who makes the most amazing cakes).
I got a great surprise when following the Orkney Arts and Crafts spring fair at the beginning of April I was contacted and asked to display some of my work in a seasonal pop-up shop ‘Faireens’ on Junction Road, Kirkwall near the Albert Hotel. They now have some of my original embroideries and some DL canvases printed from photos of my felt and embroidery pictures. I particularly like the canvas of ‘Midsummer Sunrise at the Ring of Brodgar’. I was really happy with the colours I managed to achieve on the original work. (You can see a photo of the original in my Archive)
I finished the Viking ‘Art Doll’ and he is a fine specimen. I finally managed to clothe one of my knitted Vikings and said goodbye to him yesterday. He and his lady are off to America. I have to thank the couple who bought both of them to take to their grandchildren.

In fact DL has to thank all the visitors who appreciated her work and especially those who went on to buy some of it.
Thank you.
More saga stories next month? Maybe!
