I’m finding it hard to believe it is almost a year since the last chapter in the DragonLady Saga was uploaded! But that is the case. Chapter 8 was published on April14th 2025, and we will be in April again next week.

Sometimes it feels like spring and other times, like about fifteen minutes ago, with sleet and hail hammering the windows, we are clearly still in winter. With spring comes the start of the craft fair season again and it seems to come round quicker and quicker each year.

DragonLady is taking it a bit easier this year doing a few less one day fairs but still looking forward to those I will attend and of course the big summer exhibition. I’ll be meeting up again with other craft group members and meeting and chatting to our visitors, finding out how far some have come to visit Orkney.

The DragonLadyDesigns website has been checked, updated and new items have been added to the shop. There are some new knitwear items, including children’s hats and some fingerless mittens/hand-warmers. New jewellery pieces have been added and I have printed some more tote bags with pictures of felted and embroidered art pieces. Hopefully as the year wears on there will be further items added and maybe even more regular Saga chapters! My son suggested if I keep a sort of daily journal of the craft work I do then I will have notes to turn into chapters every month. Hmmm. OK in theory but we’ll see how it works in practice.
